Default Recommended Tire

Hello,

Goodyear Eagle RSA's I have on the monte are just about done for and I'm needing to replace them and I'm looking for suggestions.

I have about $400 to budget on a good set of tires and I'd want to get the road hazard warranty for the set that I purchase.

I'm looking for recommendations for tires on a 04 Monte SS - I'm not much on the Fuzion tires I've saw so lets avoid them please.

Also pass on Goodyears. I'm a Bridgestone/BF Goodrich/Michelin/Firestone tire person.

All help is greatly appreciated.

I'm running BFG G Force TA KDWS from Tire Rack, about as cheap as they get right now, but they are 18's, also. $100/tire + mounting/balancing, tax. Check out tirerack.com. Best prices I've found, and driving distance for me to South Bend.

Well it says their not suppose to be driven in near freezing and in snow and ice so that knocks that out. I live in Kentucky and it can get 10 below 0 in the winter and a foot of snow so no those aren't gunna do it.

How about the BFG Traction T/A ither H V or T series tires.

Seriously considering them and they have good reviews on Tirerack.

The G Force TA KDWS is an all weather tire. D=dry, W=wet, S=snow.

i've been runnin 225-55-70 traction t/a t's on my monte for about 9-10 months, 15-18000mi, snow n ice to 90+degrees, commuting, and driving the wheels off it, and i really dont have anything to complain about. before that, about 2years and 30-35000 miles ago i put a set on my moms 03 lesabre, she liked em, no complaints, both of my parents liked them better than the oe tires. if i can remeber i'll get the actual mileages and tread depth sometime...

i'm sure theres tires out there with more grip, better in snow or ice, cheaper, better wear, you name it. for the total package though, if you find a better cheaper all around tire let me know.
