Default Really good tune up??

ok i know that my car is fairly new but it does have 25,000 miles on it. (got it new with 5 on it in December of 07) other than oil changes every 3000 and tire rotate and balances is there anything i need to do to it? Someone mentioned fuel injector cleaning but honestly i couldn't even tell you where they are on the car..

Your car doesnt have enough miles to bother running fuel injector cleaner through it. Id give it another 5 thousand miles until I even think about changing the plugs and wires.

i didn't change my plugs and wires until about 90,000 and 5 years!! tahts hwen my Haynes manual calls for it and thats when i did it... i'd say jsut keep on going and don't worry about it.... but heres what hte manual says you should do at:

12000 miles or 12 months, which ever comes first:

-Inspect the throttle linkage
-Inspect and repalce, if necessary, thewindshield wiper blades
-Inspect the seat belts
-Replace the air filter

30,000 miles or 24 months:

-Inspect and replace, if necessary, the PCV valve
-Inspect and replace, if necessary, the spark plug wires
-Replace th spark plugs (conventional, non-platinum versions, platinum versiosn call for 100,000 miles or 5 years)
-Replace the fuel filter
-Inspect the fuel system
-Service the cooling system

You're good if you're running on clean oil and filter.

You can do the "Throw-aways" and come up-to-date. Winter Wiper Blades (if you need them). New Engine Air Cleaner. New Cabin Air Cleaner. Douche the PCV Valve with Carb Cleaner.

That's it for awhile.

Ah yes, I forgot the cabin air filter... thats supposed to be changed every year. The handbooks usually don't say how to get to it, so if you need help, just say so.

the cabin air filter is a btch to get to haha.. my passenger drain got clogged and all my rain water was comin straight into my passenger floor and just fillin up.. to get to the cabin air filter, which i found dirty on my way to the drain, you have to open your hood, put your wipers up on your shield, and pop off the black tabs holding down that black piece of plastic you see crawling up your windshield from under your hood.. take the whole left side off and your cabin air filter sits right there on a little bit of an angle.. mine had black spots on it from the clogged drain and **** filin up in there.. i changed it.. unclogged the drain .. and now my passenger side isnt a swimming pool anymore haha.. change it tho.. you can feel alot smoother air flow coming in wen you have your cabin air setting on outside air..

i didn't think the cabin air filter was a big project... i got to it and had it replaced in 10 minutes. it sounds MUCH more complicated than it is...

of course, i've restored a car, so anything short of taking the front end of the car off isn't so abd to me, hahaha
