6th gen ss's

RE: 6th gen ss's
Only 2004 and 2005 models were supercharged. I can only imagine that 25-35% of those were supercharged so I would guess it would be less than 10% of the 6th gen montes.

RE: 6th gen ss's
I vaguely remember a thread from a year or so ago that had the total number of Montes built each year. But it didn't break the numbers down any further. I can't find the thread right now, but thinking about the 04 and 05 Montes that got superchargers, we can try to come up with a rough ballpark number.
All the 04 & 05 driver editions got s/c.
Tony Stewart edition 2020
Intimidator edition 4000
Dale Jr edtion 2883
There's 8,903 right there. If there were Pace Car editions in those years, I'd imagine they would have gotten the s/c too. Not sure if there was a pace car edition in those years though.
Just a rough guess on my part, but I would have to think there was at least 15,000 s/c Montes in those two years. Most likely a lot more than that. Because I think GM was really pushing the s/c in those years, to boost sales numbers.
But that's all rough guessing on my part.

if you go on autozone.com and put in you vehicle for parts, it tells you waht percent.
all 05 SS's were supercharged, the un-supercharged 3800 became the LTZ in taht year.
of the 2004's, according ot this link: http://www.autozone.com/N,317978/ini...cleSelect4.htm
17% were supercharged,
29% were naturallly aspirated 3.8
54% were 3.4's
In 2005:
11% were supercharged 3.8's
22% were n/a 3.8's
67% were 3.4's....
however, in 2003, the year before the supercharged came out, 56% of Monte Carlo's were SS's
