I just recently bought a 2004 Monte Carlo super sport. I'm watching to install my stereo system but I don't know the wiring diagram for the radio. Can anyone tell me what factory integration adapter I need or can someone tell me the wiring diagram? Can I just hook it up or do I need a special adapter to avoid screwing something up? Can someone please help me with this so I could have my base.

My limited experience with car audio, wiring adapters are the way to go. It requires buying the adapter for your car and wiring it to the wiring for the new radio. Avoid cutting the factory wiring as much as possible!

Crutchfield.com has been a great resource in the past for this stuff.

 

Id second Crutchfield, although admittedly they won't be the cheapest option.

Another option is metraonline.com. they make the vast majority of the adapters, so you can look up the PN needed on their website and buy it wherever you normally get car audio stuff.
