Hello, today I was rolling in my Monte and I popped a CD into the stock radio. I didn't hear any music coming out of the speakers so I turned up the volume, nothing was playing. I skipped to the next track, nothing was playing. I changed it to the radio and nothing was playing. I turned the radio off then back on and finally I heard music. Does anyone know whats wrong? Was it just a one time glitch?

 

Is my alternator going out maybe?

 

Let's call it a one time glitch for now. If you see anything else going weird electrical then start to worry.

Your alternator's job is to charge the battery. If your battery is losing it's charge, then you will have more problems than just your radio not working.

 

My radio stopped working today

The interface works but absolutely no sound is coming out of the speakers.

Any idea what the issue could be?

Sounds like an internal problem with the radio. I would look into finding yourself a new stock headunit. Before you do that tho, pull the radio and make sure everything is plugged into the back properly. Check any fuses for the radio as well.

 

I just tested out the radio again. Looks like its working now but it was acting funny before it started working. It was cutting out every few seconds but after a few on and offs it started working fine.

 

I got a new stereo put it. It was the stock amp that died. New deck is dope.
