Hey guys, yes i read cowboy's article about U-bend delete, but i still have some questions. Im getting exhaust put on, and i mentioned it to the guys there, and they looked dumbfounded. First, Id like to know if it is really worth it to go through the hassle of getting it done. If its really not a big deal, id much rather just leave it be. I have a tight budget. But if it does narrow down to 1.75 inch, sounds like it matters, cuz no matter how big the rest of your pipes are it wont make a difference because in one spot its small (think of a kink in a water hose). Tell me if im wrong.

Second, if i really gotta get it done, id like to know for sure what i have to say/buy, because chances are this might be new to whoever is doing it. Cowboys article says tell em to put in straight piece of pipe, cut a hole in side, put an o2 bunge in and then the sensor? Where would i buy the one for my specific car needed, and is that all i gotta tell em to do? Thx guys, n sorry im not sharp about this topic.

 

The others who have done this mod say it is worth the $$$ to do it.
(thanks for reminding me about this. we bought an '03 Pace car in may and it probably still has this factory pipe)

The '06/07 Montes did not get the "U" bend pipe so doing this to one of them isn't nessessary.

I thought some places like 3800.com sold the replacement pipe already made up?

 

I found this pipe on 3800s web site. Not 100% sure if it's the right one or not? But they list several so look around a bit.
