Default Project Rise Up Part 2

I was finally able to install a set of 42.5# injectors that I've had for a little bit and hit the dyno at ZZP. Still having some issues with the setup, but so far so good. Here's a video:

Made 348whp. Just a few more things to do to hit my goals

I do like having a sleeper, but it gets zero traction on the road. I'm looking forward to working out the other bugs that's still there and then going to the drag strip and see what it'll do.

Sweetness. I believe you about having no traction. Its probably pointless to mash the gas on the street in that thing. Hell I get no traction with 215hp let alone the 400+ you are making to put 350 to the wheels.

Ever since I had my first Monte (95 LS, sold), I've always wanted to ride in an LQ1 powered Monte. There's been some nice turbo LQ1 builds before that sounded like fun. Are you going to turbo your Monte someday mrl390?

I want to hit 400whp and then focus on the body finally. The guys at ZZP told me that after the fuel pump is installed I could drop a pulley size and get another 10-20whp. That and an intercooler and then I should be close.

I would LOVE to turbo my car. I have the ability, tools, and space to make all the plumbing like headers, dp and intake plumbing, but unfortunately I dont have the money or a spare car lol. My car only has 56000 miles so the engine is in pretty good shape and the body isnt rusty or worn out yet. I am probably an idiot for not doing it. I would have to find someone/somewhere to tune it and thats another thing holding me back. I really should just find a beater and take the car off the road, take the insurance off of it and build it a little at a time.

I am in love with the LQ1. People may think Im crazy but the motor is so fun its hard to describe. Its not even that fast from the getgo its just the highway driving with it puts a huge smile on my face every time. I think if I were running an old tired LQ1 it wouldnt be the same but mines barely broken in. I held my own from a roll for a good while against a 4.6 PI mustang last weekend which really made me . I lost in the end of course but Im sure the mustang guy wasnt expecting that outcome at all. Ive run the car against alot of cars that on paper should have eaten me alive, but just didnt.

Maybe one day a turbo will happen but for now Im still happy with the car..
