chibi.. the dude doing the work guarantees everything. And we actually pulled the tranny from a wrecked 2001 with 80K on it... LESS than half of what is on my car.

She's red, fully loaded. My dad bought her already so I really have no choice, he said "I want you to have something nice. You worked too hard for that 98 to have it wrecked."

now he wants to drive my car!!! And i'm like Uhhhhh NO.

haha.

First stop, FULL TUNE UP. Don't drive that car (much) before that gets done.

Then you can start asking questions about that engine. It's a beast.

If it was me just getting this car, i would give it a good tune up, no matter when it was done previously. At least this way i know that its just been done and i will be good to go for a few years.

The tune-up is not only for peace of mind, but it's always good to know EXACTLY when everything was changed. You don't really know how the car has been sitting / driven etc.

Let's say the car sat for 3 months, and then started up and driven hard before it was sold, the oil could be bad, and run through the system... the plugs could be going etc. etc.
