Hey everyone, so I just got off work and I had stopped at the lowes foods up the road from me so I could get a couple things and on my way out I saw an absolutely gorgeous Monte Carlo pull up. I had to stop an talk to the guy. So I waited for him to park and I was pretty shocked when I saw the guy get out. The guy was crippled and stored his wheel chair up front with him which I give him mad props for seeing as how our cars aren't the most roomy cars in the world. After talking with the guy, I found out the Monte was a 2001 SS. It was red with silver ground effects and only had 90K miles on it which I thought was pretty amazing since most of the Monte Carlo's I have seen tend to have pretty high mileage due to them getting driven which is great. But to see one that had some pretty low miles I thought was pretty cool. The guy was also a retired marine. He was telling me he has had the car since it was new and he still gets comments on the car almost every time he goes out. He had been injured while he was over seas and when he came home he had everything changed in his Monte so he could keep driving it. I have to say, it was a really cool night being able to talk to another Monte owner, especially one who cares for his Monte as much as this guy. Thought I would just share this cool encounter with everyone here.

 

Now see this is a very cool story to have had read. How very nice of you to have made this guys day, he probably felt like a million bucks after he left you. Way to go! I have done this before and most people seem to care less about their Monte as a special car, it's just transportation to them, 4th or 6th owner etc. It's people like you who give being a Monte Carlo owner a good name! Well played.....
