Plans for the 5th gen
No I didn't leave... I've been trolling around and looking into my car, and others. I think I've got a complete list of what I'm going to do to ma ride.
-Window tints (done by a professional)
-Magnaflow super 44 cat back in stainless steal, with chrome stainless tip
-Brickyard 3 peice spoiler color matching the rest of the car
-RK sport front bumper(to give it a more NASCAR body style)
-AVS headlight and tail light covers
-I know I need to replace the shocks, but would like some help on picking out a decent set.
-Also, does the K&N airfilter(Not CAI) actually help give better flow then the AC Delco brands and is it worth the extra $40?
Let me know if you have any thoughts or ideas for me.

I think its still worth the $40 for a drop in K&N. Its not gonna give you 10 HP, but most say they feel the difference. Fuel economy will improve

I agree with JuniorCar on the filter.
I've bought the K&N drop in filter for my last 3 cars, and prefer it over a standard filter. It's not as good as a CAI, but it does flow a little more air. Plus, it's re-usable. Buy it once and clean it when it's dirty. Not constantly buying new filters and throwing out an old one in the garbage.
When I can afford it, I plan on installing a CAI on the Monte. But I'm focusing on paying it off first.

K & N sells a cleaner and recharge kit. You can get it at most auto parts stores. It contains a cleaner, you spray it on and soak it until it is clean (it will look light pinkish when its clean). Then you let it air dry. After that, there is another can in the kit which is oil, then you spray the whole filter with the oil - it will look red again. Then it's ready to be re installed in the air box.

If you get the black-out headlight covers and they are embroidered with a white logo on the corner, you can take that off with nail polish remover (acetate) it looks much nicer having it all black then having a little white mark in the corner standing out.
