That's cool! Multiple colors look good. I always try to incorporate that kind of thinking into stripes/graphics. If you want them to really stand out even from a distance choose loud colors or vice versa... whatever floats your boat! Just about anything looks good on white.

I think the best one's I've seen on a Monte are definitely GPD's. The dealer that got my 03 LS immediately put pinstripes almost the same as GPD's, except being a red car they used both black stripes, and the same thickness, which I really didn't think looked good. Or, maybe I was just used to it not having them, I dunno. I've thought about them on my car, since I know a good supplier of pinstriping tape, but not being a very artistic person, I've struggled to imagine something that looked good in mind set, that I could draw onto an actual printed picture of my car, and still like how it looked.

To me, Pinstripes are for the side, and racing stripes are for the hood/roof/deck. etc. Having one, would make it harder to be able to have the other, and keep it looking good. Allthough the stock rally stripes package on the SS had those pinstripes that bordered the main racing stripe... but I don't know if you'd really consider that a pinstripe, since it would have been applied at the exact same time, with the exact same material as the racing stripe.

I'll probably end up buying the tape, justto see if I canfreehand any ideas well enough that Ilikethe design. It's only like 10$ for 150 feet, (depending on the width) so at worst I'm out 10$ and have to wax my car... lol At best the design looks good and I decide against racing stripes, and save myself 100$ in vinyl and materials.

LOL, anyone here really good at free-hand?

Wow! Maybe I should have read a little more of the thread before putting up that last joke. I didn't know that the middle of the thread became a H8R article.

It made mine much less funny at the end.

No worries, to each his own really, everyone's going to have different ideas, and one person may think one car is fugly, while another may dream about having a similar car. 90% of the cars out there stay stock as far as visually, and I think that's sad.5 trims and 5 colors means a total of what, 25 different vehicles total? WHen they're selling thousands and thousands? Just the fact that someone put their time and money into making their ride theirs is good enough for me. Because I may not like it doesn't mean it's a bad ride... just that I wouldn't consider doing that to my own ride. I've seen neon orange cavvy's with pink graphix... of skulls... and damn near puked, but at least the person did what they could to make their ride unique... Doesn't mean I'm gonna go off and put pink skull graphix on my car!

Just like if you look at my photo gallery, My slash end tips are pointed out, instead of down... I've had at least 3 ppl comment that I have them the wrong direction.... uhhh. no... I installed them that way for a reason, because there's probably a million ppl out there with the same tip(s), and the majority probably have them pointed down.... Why follow the herd?
