Luck is only a samll part of rebuilding and older car. Good friends and patience. Is the most important. Cause your going to need both. I've had a 70 Chevelle for sometime now. I know how these things work sometimes. A good friend is like that 3rd hand you need at times Of course you need some $$ too

Oh man. You gotta restore that `77. It's a classic.

Reproduction parts are made by a company other than GM. So the fit and finish is going to vary. Quality may not be as good as original either. NOS (New Old Stock) are factory original parts that dealership parts departments had sitting on their shelves, and never got sold/used. NOS parts are ideal when restoring a vehicle.

You might try OPG or YEAR ONE. Check out their websites. For more info. I had a 76 & a 77. 77 was all white outside tan inside. I also remeber those big azz doors. I have a few stories about them cars.

WOW!! Where did you keep the car? (It's still beautiful - you can't beat those old MC body lines)

The car had been garage kept and had low miles on it but my Mom bought it to use as a dily driver the cam and lifters went out and it was parked in the grass for a few years out in the good ol Ohio weather, snow, rain etc and grass grew all up around the car :-( It was my Moms daily driver and we had no garage so thats where it sat. I have no garage either which sucks especially with winter right around the corner...

I will post pics for sure. I'm going to try to buy all brand new NOS body panels, fenders, doors & quarter panels. Maybe pull that 305 out and put a 350 in it eventually, put some air shocks on the back, 14 inch Cragar SS on the front and 15's on the back with white letter tires. Hopefully one day...
