Don't forget the balance... ofcourse 50/50 is ideal, but VERY hard to acheive.

Thats one thing the ss dosn't do .. or atleast i don't think it does all that well.

It's ok, but in a tight turn it dosn't have that great of a balance.

I wonder what moving the battery to the back would do.....

Thanks fellas! I think that I'll eventually get a set of black powder coated rims for mine. I'd really like to get her road track worthy, not that the rims have much to do with it, but I like the race look as well as the muscle to back it up.
Actually, the rims can help, especially if they're lightweight and wider than stock as to give a bigger contact patch with the road, not to mention lowering the center of gravity
Not to mention unsprung weight.[8D]

I was thinking about that today while looking through one of my catalogs when I saw a battery relocation kit. Has anyone done this to the Monte? I've moved the one in my Mach 1, but it's not even close to done, let alone track ready.

I have done one on a Mach II before. The kit had everything needed and was fairly simple. This was of course at least ten years ago. I wonder how much of a difference there is in our Montes??
