YES, i stole ssgirls idea, just changed it up a bit.Ireally likedthat design.Next time i'll use a gun instead of a rattle can, but it will work for an eventual every day driver. I'ts a covered garage queen now.

what kind of paint do you use on the cover. I would guess it would have to be a paint that would adhere to plastic and have high temp resistance?

 

I cleaned the covers with dishwashing detergent and water rinsed it off used a 3m scuff pad did that the best iI could. Then wiped the covers with alcohol.
The paint was Dupli color Blue metal flake on the base coat then I used 2 light coats of Superior Blue (cars color) then 3 coats of Dupli color clear.

 

It looks GREAT! I did the same thing to my '01 SS LE.

 

What color did you paint it?

WHERE..... did you find Superior Blue in a can?
I can't even locate it in a touch up bottle. I had to buy it from the Chevy dealer @ $11.50.
