I'm looking for a performance chip for the 3.9. I seen that jet makes one but not specifically for the 3.9 only the 3.5 and ss. I am looking to make a bunch of upgrades in the near future would appreciate any help

 

from another member here that had a jet chip thing, DO NOT INSTALL ANY JET PRODUCTS?

 

i recently bought a CAI from a member here, but have yet to install it, you should get one of them for your car first. there are not many mods yet for the 3.9, i know, i have one!! check out http://www.coldairinductions.com/ for a CAI, it comes highly recommended from the member that said hell no on the JET crap! michael (MAMONTE), and i see that you've added him as a freind, so take his advice on all things for the 06 montes, 3.5 and 3.9. he knows his stuff very well!!!!

 

As Chris mentioned. the coldairinductions CAI is a great product for the 3.5L and 3.9L, I recommend you put that at the top of your list for mods. Also, a nice exhaust in combo with your CAI helps a bit. I have maganaflow, and love the sound on my 3.5L!

DO NOT buy anything from JET. I bought the Jet performance module, installed it in my car, and it fried the ECM. I had to take it to the dealer and have it replaced. Jet took zero responsibility for their crap product, and would not even give me a refund for the product itself. I would not recommend Jet to anyone!

 

Same thing happened to me with the Hypertech crap. I ended replacing the PCM/reprogrammed 'cause their POS fried it. If you most have one of those programs get an HP Tuners VCM Suite Professional GM Vehicles MPVI Pro.
