I find it highly unlikely that you'd need hi temp anything on that plastic piece. No way in the world will that thing get hot enough to warrant it unless ur engine catches fire. I can't imagine how clear coat would damage the decals, but Mickey seems to know something I don't so I'd look into it a little more if I were you.

I might not need high temp.. but it can't hurt.

I'm waiting on graphx to reply to my e-mail about painting over the decals. It would make it last longer.

Sometimes the chemicals in the paint can make decals lift, so thats why i e-mailed them.

See what they say.

mine is not high temp, you can use it if you feel it will help.
as far as the decales go that is just what i was told about mine. I had planned to scuff the paint and stick themon the car then reclear the whole car with some metal flake in it. i was told not to do that it would screw them up.
But i never got them so it dont make a diffrence now

They replied and said generally you can over non reflective, but don't recomend it.


I may change my mind and just clear coat.
