Ha, well I guess it comes full circle then, 'cause now I want to paint that chrome trim, maybe a smoke color would turn out...

I'm thinking about pulling out my dremel and cutting those 2 fins out along with the chevy logo. I don't think it would look right though. I was also thinking of making my own mesh grill conversion.

(I'm brainstorming right now)

Is it possible to clear coat a flat black paint? ...

yes it is possibel just get a mat or flat clear coat

also to take the amber out of the head lights be real careful. I know when i did mine we looked real hard at taking out the amber but found out that it would screw the lens up and look like crap.

SO. with this said i would not try that But hey i cut mine apart with in a year of me owning the car LOL

But you can get all the crome out of the head light other then what is on the reflectors them selvs. with nothign more then simpel green and a old tooth brush. JUST MAKE SURE that you dont get it on anythign you dont want to come off or it will take it off . And do not touch it with anythign htis stuff scratches REAL EASY!!

you could always go to a bone yard and find a set of lights and do them instead of yours on the car. then if ya want you can reinstall the ones there. OR if you dont like them sell them on Ebay LOL

Here's a close up.

I sanded and sprayed 2 more coats. I can still see little uneven spots, but I'm not going to worry it's going to get chipped anyhow ...

Still looks good nonetheless
