That's the highly-exotic sounding, very special-special name that Chevy's best marketing executives got together and after much consternation and gnashing of teeth, decided it would call the light brown 2004 Monte Carlo's bearing this paint scheme instead of just saying Beige!

You gotta love it.
My car ain't just Beige, ... it's:

Cappuccino Frost Metallic Clearcoat!!!

Wonder why Galaxy Silver Metallic was changed to Silverstone Metallic? (Or a close resemblence to the Galaxy Silver)

Looking at the sales brochure, they are two different colors.
Galaxy Silver Metallic is your classic silver color.
Sandstone Metallic looks to be a darker, and slightly more brownish version of Rick's car color (Cappuccino Frost Metallic).

No, the sandstone metallic is the bronze-ish colour. RJ means SILVERstone Metallic is what replaced Galaxy Silver Metallic. I cannot see a difference between them. Mine is Silverstone (2005) and I have sat it right next to a 2002 Galaxy Silver, I cannot see any difference at all.

Hey Rick, check out the classified on the MCF. Last I saw one for $70. As of the 3/10/08 it was still available.
