My 02 monte 112,000 miles 3.8L recently had the check engine light come on. But before I start I want to add I have been experiencing like a hesitation when accerating at speeds of 30 or above usually and thought that was due to a transmisson problem. I had autozone check the code and came up with a P0172 which is a rich or lean fuel mixture on bank one only. I did some research and found that there is a recall for the catylatic convertor on this model and my VIN falls within the range and was wondering if this could be associated with the problem. If not should I start by checking my fuel injectors?
