Default Onstar Onboard

With my new 2005 Monte LT came one year of Onstar service and 2 months hands free calling.
I have used the system once, to setup service and try out the hands free calling. Hopefully I wont have to NEED to use it. But I do see how useful it can be. My questions are if you have it, will you re-subscribe after your year is up? Do you use it alot, seldom, never?

Just Curious,
Rob

honestly there is more to it then just that
i wish i had it in mine
It also has the GPS capabilities therefore they can track your car if it is ever stolen they can gve the police a cordenace for it and they can go get your car back for that alone it would be worth it. but i would also like the hands free options
so if ya decide to get rid of it let me know LOL

The question is, is it worth the monthly payment after the free year?

I made sure mine did not come with it cause I simply did not see myself using it one, and two paying out what ever it is a month to keep it.

I chose one with the home link option that I have not used or really even think I will. TVW

i have the home link also but i was thinking that you could have both on one car. Might be wrong.
I like it for the most due to the GPs tracking if needed but then i just had a car stolen 3 years ago

I've always kept onstar. I started out with the full package, but didn't use it that much. I now keep the basic package. I don't use it that often, but it's nice to know it's there when I need it. It costs less than $20 per month, plus I get the 30 minute phone time for something like $35 and its good for up to a year. I only have to buy minutes once or twice per year.
