Default OnStar hardware bad

Light out does not work after 4,000 miles...
Called OnStar and back to the dealer it will go. I wish the car did not have it. Has not worked correctly with the emails for 3 months. I guess it that's why it died.

I have no intention of ever using the onstar in mine. Needless gimmick if you ask me.

I wish I would have had an option not to get it myself. It's a totally useless feature for me.

I don't plan on using or renewing it. Just want to make sure it is available if I get rid of the car come Camaro time or move up to a used Corvette in 3 years.

Hi Eric,
Sorry to read about all the problems that you are having with your Monte : (
Does your state have a lemon law ?
I would document every problem & check with your attorney if problems don't get resolved.
I do like your dream~> (Vette or New Camaro: )
Wish you good luck on getting your problems resolved.
Wish U a `Happy,
`Space

They are getting fixed. Talked to the Service Mgr yesterday and I have an appointment. I guess I just expect to much regarding some Customer Service. I have found it works best to write an essay describing the issue for the Service Advisor. If it does not work then give bad marks on Survey after the repair.

This is not to say that all dealers and their techs are bad. Just my experiences with them. If they good work under warranty then I would take my car their for paying service. Just my honest opinion.

Thanks Space!

I hope to buy a Brass- Era Chevrolet one day. They just don't make them like they use to. Chevrolets use to have no valve covers with valves exposed up until like 1925. You had to oil the valve train every 250 miles.

Of course not, they make them better. Proven fact. I am very sorry to hear about all your problems though. I've honestly yet to experience any with my LTZ.
