hey guys... I walked into autozone today to find that a lot of octane boosters were on sale... now, ive always been against them becuase of them never really working (by what Ive heard). do they really work? what could people expect to see after using them? do some brands work better than others?

i've only found one that actually works the way they say it does...some of them dont do anything....

but if you want a good one get the lucas octane boost in a red bottle....it says not street legal on it just to cover their buts if anybody decides to pour the whole bottle in a little tank....but in a tank like ours you could pour the whole bottle in

I bought some - not sure the brand but it was bragging 104 one the front of the package - from Advance Auto and it didn't do squat. It didn't change the KR I had 1 bit. Once I put in a tank of regular 104 gas my 7* of KR went to zero.

So IMHO the octane boosters are junk. The Lucas brand Josh mentioned is probably good, but I would go with the real thing.
