ah Nova's my dad still has his '71 Nova, but as for the Camaro, they decided that instead of it being a 2009 model that they would make it a 2010 model but release it in the spring of '09 to prevent dealerships from setting up for the 2009 camaro, only to have to redo everything in a couple of months when the new model year came out.

If that little car had a Domino's Pizza Sign on the roof ... I'd still be on the floor with tears streaming down my face blowing snot bubbles and having everybody wondering why I got histerical!

Taz, I'm sorry but you keep this up and you'll be going to your room. ALONE!

I forgot to mention Chevy sent me an email. They said they contacted my local dealer and spoke with the parts department who assured them they could still get accessories for my 2006 Monte Carlo LTZ.

I thought it was very nice of them to do this. B-U-T...... wait a minute. I didn't tell them in my original message to them I owned a 2006 Monte Carlo. So how did they put 2 & 2 together and get I owned an '06 Monte and not some other year Monte Carlo?

Anyways, they said Chevy's policy is theystock a 5 year supply of accessories for vehicles that have been discontinued and most of the time, longer then 5 years of parts.

ORIGINAL: Taz

Many people, including some P.R. people from GM said that the Monte was discontinued due to lack of sales.
For the last couple of years I didn't see a single commercial on TV advertising the Chevy Monte Carlo. That's probably why sales were bad, especially for the last couple of years. If they would have advertised it, more than likely sales would have been way better. The last Monte Carlo commercial I ever remember was with Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Taz.

I don't think the Monte Carlo is going to be back anytime soon. The simple fact of the matter is that with a few exceptions, coupes haven't sold very well for quite some time now. Lincoln learned this with the Mark VIII (93 to 98), and of course the Eldorado disappeared in 02. Some coupes are selling, of course, butwhat would Chevy have to do to make a new Monte appeal to the people buying them? Tough question. Personally, Ithink they're going to be devoting all of their efforts to marketing the Camaro, and throwing another2-door into the mix would distract from that.

The last Monte Carlo commercial I saw was with Dale Sr & Dale Jr & Taz.
The one with Taz in the back seat, Sr in the driver's seat, and Jr in the passenger's seat mocking his dad while they drive around the track. Funny as hell.
