Default Noise when turning?

Hello!! I drive a 99 Monte Carlo. Just yesterday my car started making a weird noise when turning left. Can anyone tell me what this might be? Is there a possibility it could be the struts? Thanks!!

What type of sound? Have you noticed if the steering has gotten tighter? Have you checked the power steering fluid level? I had a saturn and when I turned the wheel it would make a slight noise, I was out of PS fluid.

Its hard to explain the sound. a scratching, grinding? maybe. Its not the power steering fluid, thats full. And a new belt was put on it not too long ago.

does it only make a noise when tyou turn the wheel all the way or even just slightly to the left? Where does the noise seem to be coming from the tire? under the car? or the steeling wheel?

It makes a noise even when not turning the wheel all the way. It maybe seems to be coming from under the car or the tire or something. My dad thinks that maybe its a bearing.

Had the same problem with my last project. There might be a chance that the strut bushings (most likely the top, it is always the first to go). If they are like my last car, the entire strut turns with the wheel. It wears out, just like other steering components. What happens is that almost everybody does not replace them with the struts. Common mistake (not saying anything against your abilities, it's just that a lot of people just don't know about this). Have them checked.

i would check the front wheel bearings. if it sounds like a rumble while your driving and it kinda goes away depending on which way you turn then it is def. the wheel bearings.

Your describing the typical symptoms of a failing CV axle joint. More often than not the boot will be torn or pulled away out of position. You should see grease flung all about indicating the boot has failed, let the grease escape and the joint died due to lack of lubrication.
