no more montes??
You sure that wasn't the actually smally Quad-4 1.8 litre performance inline four? This used to be "the" engine to have... as long as you knew how to replace head gaskets
.. well, actually the expression should be [:'(]
I had a 95 Beretta with the 2.2L I-4... Missed a 94 Z24 Beretta that was cheaper (needed one dent pulled) but actually had less miles, a quad-4, and a manual transmission.... man did I ever regret that.... I missed it by maybe 1 week?

I always thought that I got an early version of the 150 hp Z24 engine, but the car was probably just extremely light.
It is hard to say now in hindsight since that was a 2.3.

Yeah, my 2.2 was rated at 120 horse... after a few mods it probably put 90 to the wheels
Lol.. but I really do miss the car, but I had gotten the 2003 LS... and didn't have the time or money to upkeep the beretta. From what I understand it's still on the road... Some mechanics daughter has it, so you know it's taken care of well.

I loved my '91 Cavalier Z24. It had the stock 3.1 engine. But I did many performance mods to it. Had it upover 200 horses. Didn't mod the exterioror interior of the car except for tinting the windows. Kept the car a sleeper. Had tons of fun with it, especially with a bunch ofsmack-talking idiots in their mommy & daddy boughtmustangs.
BTW... just to clear upsome slight confusion... the Baretta was the Z26,the Cavalier was the Z24. Cavalier also had a special order 4 cylinderZ22 model.

I remember the Quad 4 2.5's put down 140HP and alot of people were swapping those into the Fieros.
I still like the idea of droping the 3.8's into Fiero's. Might have to get another one some day just to do this.

Oh, sorry to go off topic...
I am overseas, as you all know, and here on post we have what we call the ENCS. Exchange new car sales.
They basically get cars at a little bit of a discount, and sell them to military members for cheaper.. brand new..
So as I was heading to the Post Exchange (PX) I stopped in, only to have my one friend buying a FORD, um Fusion is it?
I told him to go to a dealer when he gets home, as ENCS does not sponser Chevy
I wish I could have told him to get a Monte 08, but I guess THAT won't be happening anytime soon
