Nightmare ideas...
I've got a couple ideas floating around... I figured I'd make a set thread for you guys so I stop spamming the board
I know the monte's a special edition..but I don't ever plan on selling it. (that we all know.
) There is no way the monte is going to be mine without some sort of gothic touch. Here is what I'm planning on for custom vinyl work, I feel like the front looks to...plain.

Not set in stone just yet. I'm still playing in photoshop with the idea.
Another idea:
Jr eyes

03JGMonte was nice enough to make me a intake box, and I've got this awesome idea going to dress up the engine bay..

the 8 decal is only facing that way because I couldnt figure out to edit the 8 sideways. Plan on painting the stripes with the factory red, & painting the black& silver stripes. Or I'm going to get custom made vinyl strips for it.
Waiting on taxes for:
CAI
lowering coils/shocks/suspension exc..
MAYBE a u-bend delete & resonator delete if I have enough
slp grill insert for the front
future mods:
3.4" pulley & the works to go with it.
all poly motor mounts, suspension bushings exc.
new exhaust system(undecided on what brand.)
tranny tune.
new factory calipers or corvette calipers.
blacken the inside of headlight assembly/or new aftermarket
Future major/minor repairs:
new oil pan
new power steering pump
undercoating refreshed
new rear sport trim (exhaust pipe slightly melted one side...)

Part of me likes it and part of me does not. I think before ranking if that's the idea to go with, having a couple more thrown out might help
But, regardless, adding a personal touch is always a plus
BTW - I see you are thinking of some mods to the brakes. Might I suggest throwing on some Goodridge braided stainless lines, Bendix ceramic pads and AC Delco advantage rotors? That is what I did last spring (along with rebuilding my calipers since I had them powder coated) and I LOVE IT. I was originally thinking of the F-Body caliper swap but after doing this setup, I don't see any reason to consider a caliper swap.
Also, as for your poly motor mounts, you can try "flipping" the rubber bushing in the radiator mount (a freebie mod that is supposed to give virtually the same effect as a poly mount). Also, the lower engine mount on these cars is hydralic. You could go for a solid rubber mount (both are offered on RockAuto, rather cheap last I saw, also the solid rubber trans mount is there too). I have polly radiator and dog bone bushings. I go back and forth on if I like them or not. Perhaps at the GM Nationals I can take you around the block so you can see what they feel like and judge for yourself.

But, regardless, adding a personal touch is always a plus

As for the mounts, everything is sound now(except for those inserts I just changed) After she's dropped its just maintenance up until that point.
I am getting rid of my vinyl work this spring and going to airbrushed art. Mainly the Deuce's Flames behind the SS badge on the doors.
Goth would look good on your car as it suits your persona but I wold check out air brushing rather than vinyl
Good luck and post pics when you get her done!

I say go for it! When I get my new front bumper, It is gonna be black, flat black, and the lower lip of the front bumper will be camo. Personal touches to cars should be your own, if you like it, that is all that matters. Go crazy and wild, that is what makes cars stand out!
My thoughts exactly. You can get as wild as you want with vinyl. And if you ever get tired of it, you can take it off.
Hi: That all sounds GOOD
But if you put any vinyl on the painted parts of the body. Remember that the Sun will fade to paint not covered ! So when you take any vinyl off it will still be there in a sense!! Some people put racing stripes on the then after they get sick of it. Take it off ( in pieces) And you can still see where the stripes were
. Even window delcals will be inbeded in glass after a while. This I know 1st hand. On one of my trucks I had the Harley logo on the back window. When I sold it that guy took that decal off. And you could see where it was.
. Not sure if he ever replaced the back glass
. I like most cars , Trucks or Motorcycles that have to owners touch. Don't like them all!!!! Some are overly done. But its to each his own.
