I finished a 2-day long complete trim and interior dismantle, clean, wax, armor-all and re-assemble endevour. It was painful, tedious, and at times very boring, but as you can see, the end result was well worth the labour!

The monte looks super clean and the interior is amazing how clean and new it looks.

it looks like it is about to rain in that picture better get the monte in the garage.

i second Mrrcenh, mine will be off the boat shortly and needs to have the same thign done to it LOL

i would love to knwo how the heck they kept the side pannels from becoming real brittel in that car. the montes normally have the rear side pannels tore up.
i dnt think i have owned but one that i still think was repainted. that was not tore up or chalky till i repainted them.

As a matter of fact, the side panels are scratched and dinged up, but camera's always make a car look nicer than it actually is lol. It looks so good though because the guy I bought it from had ordered a can of original GM Carmine interior spray paint, and when I had the panels out I re-sprayed them.

 

i can tell you how i fixed mine on two of my cars. and one of thecamaros i ahd. (they were the same way)

you take them out of the car and lay them flat. with sadn paper you get all of the lose stuff off of them. then you get some fiber glass resson and add a layer of it to the top of the pannel then i added a layer of clost also and reenforced the edges. then anther layer of resen. then ya start sanign it till smooth and paint.
this gives you a smooth look (kind of like how the are soing them now in the show cars)
I did it cause my pannels were to the point of if i didnt do somethign to them i was goign to lose them completly.
If you want a pattrent to them you can do it to just not real sure how i never cared for the fake leatehr grain pattren in them anyway

Just my $0.02 worth here, but one product I will not use on any of my cars is ArmourAll.

I had to change the entire dash in my girlfriend's '81 Monte cause the people we got it from used ArmourAll on the car. It turned the dash brown and more or less burned the dash up from the sun.

I used to treat the tires on my cars with ArmourAll. When we'd get to a car show or cruise I'd look at see my tires were now brown. It would **** me off to no end. I stopped using ArmourAll and huh? No more brown tires??????????

 

armuall is crap!! if you want to use anything on your dash use Pledge. belive me it will give it a shine and it will protect the dash and also it dont turn it colors.

Also on the tires i use no touch tire care wet look adn i have never had a set of brown tires.

thing is put it on and let the car sit for a while or carry a towel with you if you drive it right away. it will throw small alount of fthe tires to the car. But it is litterly not to bad

 

Wow, thanks about the amourall tips, I never really knew anything about it, it was just there in my garage. Will take note and stop using though, If i loose my dash to discoloration my crap will hit the fan.
