New member, first post, with a question
Got my first MC as a 16 year old kid back in the late '70s; a dark green 402 cid with bucket seats. Later, in my 20's, I had an '85 SS. Wish I still had them both.
Now 50 and nearing retirement, I am looking to turn my 70 'Vette over to my son, and get back into the saddle of a Gen 1 MC. My first, of probably many, questions is how do you verify that a Gen 1 is a true SS and not a fraud?

I do have some pics of the Vette, and will get you computer-literate son to show me how to post them.
Sadly, I never took pics of either of the MC's; too young and dumb to realize what I had.
I love the Corvette (454, 4 speed, black on black hardtop with Center Lines and chrome Hooker headers/sidepipes), but have a special fondness for the MC's, especially the '70, my first.
