New member etc.
yes I am a new member and I have not really specified in first post. sorry, but thanks for the responses from my recent post.
I have a 2006 Monte Carlo LT, with 46,000 miles on it, I bought it 2 weeks ago after dumping a lot of cash into a 2000 chrysler sebring, that at one point I really liked a lot but to many issues with only 67,000 miles on it. a friend of mine at work has an Intimidator edition 2004, and since finding this site was curious as to how can we tell what # it is in the production of this car. any help would be great. also i see that there is some talk on here about NASCAR, I am am a big fan and was just wondering what the MCF people have chosen as their favorite driver past and present. hope to hear some answers? thanks for everything I can't seem to stay away from this forum since joining!!!!

hey chris, thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!!
as for the build # of your car, i would suggest doing a search on "build #" or "build number", there is a thread which has a phone # to chevy that you can call. that is how i got mine.
i am a huge nascar fan too, born and bred! we are watching the NW race right now (all these wrecks are getting annoying, lets get some good green flag racin' in here!!!). richmond is my favorite track on the current circuit (nazareth in PA would have been one of my older favorites that's gone) and tony stewart is my driver!! hence the car i drive, haha. there are some other nascar fans around here as well and there is usually a thread about each week's race. we usually post our top 3 picks every week. i pick tony to win pretty much every week . who's your current favorite driver?
edit - favorite driver growing up was "handsome" harry gant! high wide and handsome!!

I emailed Chevy for the build number on my DE Edition, but I've heard they quit doing it since. I'd try it anyway. They'll need your vin# cac@chevrolet.com

Welcome to the site. I really am not into NASCAR anymore. Love watching old footage from the late 60's and early 70's and of course the Winston Cup years. I guess my favorite drivers were The King, Bobby & Terry Labonte, Rusty Wallace, Kenny Schrader, and of course Dale Earnhardt!

Welcome to MCF. We need some pictures of your Montefor us to enjoy.
I got caught up in the Nascar die cast thing about 10 years ago. Every weekend was devoted to driving to different cities to find that new paint job that had just been released. I finally got fed up enough I stopped buying the stuff all together.
