Default New 2006 Monte carlo

I just bought my 2006 Monte carlo 2 months ago. I went to get it inspected and they told me something was wrong with my car, they were saying that someone must have hit the curve hard to mess it up. I was shocked since it was a new car. But my brother told me firestone is lying to me and just trying to get money from me. So I am going to the dealership to have them inspect my car. If they were telling the truth I wonder whatelse is wrong with the car. Should I returnthecarif they were telling the truth? my car warranty is almost done and I dont have the money to extend to the 100,000 mile warrant. I cant afford to make a big payment and fix the car if it breaks down. I am just afraid it will have more issues any advice?

First off sorry to hear that something is wrong. Second, what is wrong? Give a little more detail. Are you talking about tires?

The Tie rods ends. Thanks for your concern. I did a inspection and firestone said that my tie rods are bad and do I want to replace them. I was like no way the couldnt be broke this is a new car. I am doing another inspection somewhere else and if they are saying the same thing then I really wonder about what this car has been through in it lifetime. I would just give it back and buy another car later. What do you think I should do?

Hi Deno,
Sorry to read about your problem.
If you don't have one already, I would suggest investing into
a carfax report on your Monte to get a history on
your Monte Carlo. Like accidents, owners, etc.

well considering you bought the car safetied, and the tie rods are part of the safety you could get them in a LOT LOT LOT of trouble for that

Not exactly like your problem but I let the dealer replace the backup Onstar battery in my '06. When I got the car back I noticed scratches in my console that weren't there before? While leaving I told me girlfriend about the scratches and she told me to go back in and complian. I didn't cause they'd had the car for a few days and I just wanted to get it home.

Now that I did bring these scratches to their attention, they're trying to say they didn't make them. That my seat belt buckle probably did.

One major problem with that............ I keep a towel over my console 100% of the time that covers both sides of the console. I'd rather the towel get human skin oils and dead skin cells all over it versus the console.

But they don't want to mess with the scratches.

It was time to get my car registered so I had it inspected. I am still under the warranty so I had it fixed. I did a carfax report and it never been in a wreck it was a rental car at somepoint and then it became a lease then it was sold in a auction then I bought it. Well since the warranty fixed it I am not too concern but I am worried if there will be other problems like this. I had it inspected 2 times and no one else found anything wrong with it. My monte has 35,300 miles on it soon I will have to get the extended warranty for my car. Sorry to here that RJ, you never know with these cars.

The dealer didn't want to replace the dulling chrome inside the headlights either. I called the 1-800 number in the back of the sales brochure and asked for help?

Mike is looking in to this for me.

Sorry to hear about all your trouble. That is unfortunate. Hey RJ is your Monte an LTZ as well?

Just an FYI to everyone that Carmax has a 2006 LTZ in grey with under 1K miles for under 20K for sale. It's in Ohio at the Carmax store there.
