Need some ideas
I’d like to pick your brains for a bit if you’ll let me. I have an 06 SS with a MPD hood on it. It’s an ok hood. Makes the car look different. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don’t. Lately I’ve been thinking I want a metal RA hood, not fiberglass.
I still have the original hood in the garage, hanging in the rafters. Hubby has found me several times just standing there staring up at that hood. I think he’s beginning to think I’m nuts. Maybe I am.
But what I’m thinking about is having it modified and turn it into a functional RA hood, if at all possible. I have a couple of designs in mind, but what I would like is some input from others. Any one on here have any ideas for a good scoop design? Straight, angled, width, height, tapered front to back, heat extractors, 1 or 2 scoops? I don’t know, any ideas?

Yea, i've looked at the MPD hood, and I just don't know...sometimes I look at it and like it, other times, IDK if I like it...that's why I have not bought it yet.
I do like the look of the MPD hood for the 00-05 Monte Carlo's...I think the narrower hood scoop looks better personally.
