found a 83 MONTE CARLO w/ a 350 swap.i want it to look like a SS Clone. is the only thing different appreance wise the front bumper and whats different interior wise besides the seats???? thanks in advance

 

well the springs and shocks are diffrent the stering box is diffrent
as for the interior the dash gauge cluster is diffrent most mcss came with bench seats with console shift
and you would need a read spoiler and there is a couple more odd's and end's that i am probley missing but that covers the most

 

well most people have or will replace shocks and springs,so pretty much front bumper,rear spoiler,rims,and dash gauges??




i have a choice of a 86 monte carlo ss w/ no motor for 1500 or 83 monte carlo w/ a 350 swap for 1700. im thinking the real ss.and i will build a 383 for it w/ th350 tranny.which would you decide????

Not all SS came with bucket seats and floor shifter.

A lot of them came with the bench seat and column shifted. Even aerocoupes did.

Which why I say it's like having grandma buy a monster of a GTO and she only drives it to Church on sundays. SS has always ment performance. A bench seat is not known as a performance upgrade. Bucket seats are. As is a floor shifter.

The SS clone you wantto build. There are extensions at the bottoms of the frontfenders you'll need to run the SS nose.

Blacked out trim. The gauge cluster like was mentioned as most Montes got idiot lights. A spoiler on the deck lid.
