My Official Build Thread/Mod List: That awkward moment when you..
Realize you've put more money into your Monte Carlo than you originally paid for it
Just hit that point a few weeks ago. Didn't add in my most recent suspension modifications and battery relocation expenses until today. This is the most complete list I have. Started it out a long, long time ago when all I had was an SLP Grille Insert and some blacked out lights.. The one's with X and italics are not figured into the current cost of the mods.
Tinted Reverse/3rd Brake Light
Custom Pace Car Trunk Panel
XK&N CAI
Custom Spectre Intake
Optima YellowTop
Billet High Polished Battery Tray
Summit Racing Battery Relocation Kit
Remote Battery Terminals
Taylor Black convuluted Tubing
Spectre Braided Vac. Lines
SLP Powerflo Exhaust
Hid Kit-Low beam
MonteCarloForum.com decals
Headlight Covers
Vent Visors
SLP Upper Grille
SS Logo for Grille
XPioneer 12's & Ported Box
XRockford Fosgate Amp
Alpine headunit
Speed Daddy Headers
Custom Engine Cover
Hid Kit-Fog lights
Goodyear Eagle GT Tires 225/60/16
XRam Air hood
Red Plug Wires & Spark Plugs
Red Coil Packs
Polished STB and Cross Braces
Roof Rails
Aerforce Gauge
Pillar Pod
Engine Cover Overlays
Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro Wires
XTEP Built Transmission
ZZP L36 SS M90 Supercharger Kit
Don Rome Rear STB Brackets
Rear STB
Polished Eaton M90 Supercharger
KYB STRUTS
XFULL BMR SUSPENSION
XPOLY SUSPENSION MOUNTS
XPOLY ENGINE MOUNTS
XPERFORMANCE BRAKE UPGRADE
LOWERING SPRINGS
XALUMINUM RACE RIMS/TIRES
XRepaint Ground Effects
XTint Rear Window Darker
FelPro Gasket Set
Polished F-Body Valve Covers
I know that's not even all of it
You see some crazy numbers when you start adding it all up. I'm at over $8,000 plus the initial cost of the car ($6,500)
This includes the hood and stereo stuff which is no longer in the vehicle. I haven't included fuel consumption or various oil changes but I'm sure I'd be close to double the price of the car if I did.
May as well include at least one thousand pictures of the money pit itself, and this whole time I've just been telling myself it was a hobby, yeah right, I don't know of many hobbies that consume a majority of your income. This thing has become a way of life

Hi `Justin,
Super Thread & Super Built & Super Monte Carlo 4-Sure..
"Giving `up to get is never easy, but the rewards can be great"
I've found nothing good in this life is easy & I'm sure that you know that from your investment of time & dollars..But just look at the rewards
You've made your Monte Carlo yours
There's not another one like it out there
