Default My new 78 Monte!!!

Just bought her a couple weeks ago to replace my 77 Monte & my 84 Buick R.I.P. :-( for the nice price of $1,150. Already put all new brakes on it & a brand new gas tank. Interior needs redone, has a 305 in it with 4 barrel carb & 350 turbo tranny with a shift kit. Rear frame rails are very rusty where the rear bumper attaches. How hard is that to get fixed?

Off topic, but can I have my name changed to 78MonteCarloMan somehow?

Looks Great! Im Actually looking to buy myself an 85 again! But frame rails were already replaced from the guy who created them. If you want to get new Rails on it you should contact Conrad Lozier. He makes them for these cars. He doesnt put them on anymore but im sure if you find a reputable frame repair shop that they can do it.

I like the color combo. I know the Cutlass has the same problem and I once saw my brother just cut out the bad area and weld in new. Good Idea--I don't know. Just saying. Looks like it can be a sharp car. Congrats and what happen to the 77? There is a name change thread here somewhere. Search for it..

Found it, it is a sticky in Forum Info and Suggestion section.

Sold the 77 a couple months back. The guy who bought it drove from out of state to buy it. He said he was going to restore it. The Buick, well the engine locked up after the car overheated about 17 different times lol. R.I.P.
Anyone know where I can buy new interior? Or have the original redone?
