oh i forgot go to the hospital and say that you were in a accedent the other day and get your self checked out the bruses can hide some thing else like nerve damage also notify your insurance so they can know so when you go in the bill can be takin car of your insurance will make the other guys insurance pay for it. i am being serios go to the hospital just to get a good to go from a doctor as in have him check every thing from your neck straight down to your waist to make sure nothing is kinked. because how you described how fast the guy was going its best to go in to check. because it is always good to know if there is nothing wrong after being checked by a doctor then not and think every thing is ok.

If I may add, I found a 2004 black Monte Carlo SS with 51,000 miles for sale out of Houston Texas for $13,998. The price seems a bit high for the age and mileage, but it's the closest thing I can find. Any opinions?

Still waiting for the 'April Fools' post... ![Frown](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
That camaro sounds like a good deal (even though oddly enough, the kbb is way lower for some reason)- but I'd also be weary of private sellers. A major dealership will charge more, but its also generally more likely that they're gonna stay around and have a reputation to uphold- so when they get a crap box in for a trade, they usually just run it to auction for the smaller used car lots to pick up.
If you do end up getting that private seller one- I'd definitely get a carfax account to make sure it hasn't had any reported odd ball things (flooding, theft recovery, etc- stuff that may not be as obvious to look for).
Good luck in your car search- and sorry to hear about the monte

No April Fool's post like Chibiblacksheep, I wish I could say it was a joke. Even though I really miss Evelyn, (my Monte), this may open the door to better things for me. If I get back the full $9,000-$10,000 as it's worth I will be able to pay off the remainder of my loan and have some left over with a built up credit history, giving me more purchasing power, not to mention my car payments and insurance won't be a factor until I choose to buy a new car, so I will have more money per month. I found a 2004 Monte SS with 72,000 miles for $11,995 from a small locally owned car dealer, I usually don't like those places, but it's a nice looking Monte.

The 2007 SS has 44,000 miles and is $15,000. Odd thing is on the information page they list it as a 6 cylinder, but the car says SS on the side, I hope it's the V8, but I think $15,000 might be a little out of my pr\ice range, $12,000-$13,000 is about my max.

Sorry I'm listing off all these potential cars, this forum was just telling you about my car wreck, not a car shopping guide for me. I'm just rattling on 'cause I miss her a lot. The worst part was watching them tow her on the truck, the front tire had exploded, and the front bumper was ripped halfway off dragging along the ground as they pulled it on top of the bed. The only thing that I feel a little grateful for is the fact I didn't put more money into that car than I had, I wanted to do a top-swap, and other upgrades. I just hope this gets sorted out soon, I want a Chevy back, I'll take the Camaro, but mostly I want a Monte Carlo.
