Default my dyno gone wrong

went to dyno my car saturday nite. i was the last person to dyno at 3 am. 3 pulls for $55 can't beat that. the dyno didn't went well. the reading was way way off. don't know what happen but the ABS light turn on and the RPM won't go higher than 4k rpm in the first couple pulls. there's couple people complain too saying they should put out more numbers. i'm gonna have to re-dyno mine in couple more months. going to a different dyno shop tho up north of chicago toward wisconsin.

Are you running MSD coil pcaks? Mine looked similar. They told me they would have problems before they even started. It was also a Dynojet. They are crap. Figure 30% parasitic loss. That figures to 393 BHP, and that sounds pretty close for your setup.

stock coil pack with MSD wires and i believe the MSD was the cause of RPM not reading right. i'm gonna dyno again later cuz i'm curious what my numbers are. here's the respond i got back from another local 3800 member:

Your ABS kicked in because the rear wheels were not spinning while the fronts were rolling on the dyno. Normally, you have to pull the ABS fuse or disconnecting the front wheel speed sensors before dynoing to eliminate that problem. It is normal for that to happen.

As for the RPM pick up, what plug wires do you have? If you have aftermarket wires, that is a typical problem. In the future, take a spare stock wire with you and swap out one of the front plug wires when doing the dyno.

FWIW - I still have yet to get any clean RPM readings with a good torque curve on a Dynojet. Either the pickup sucks or the operator doesn't know how to set it to get the right RPM readings from our ignition system.

that's good you got the lim. hope you are happy...i talked more with my local club and they told me same thing, the msd wires was the cause of RPM not reading right..guess i'm gonna have to dyno again at a different shop this time. oh well at least i get to hear how my car sound like at WOT from the outside. i wonder how turbo will sound like from outside....?
