Updates

My airbags did not deploy. Her airbags did not either.

At the scene she admitted to pulling out because someone waved her that it was OK. Now when my Insurance CO called her she said that I lost control of my car and hit hers while it was parked... Nice how the stories change.

If that happened I don't think my car would have stayed straight on the road. Plus I don't think the impacts would be on her front bumper and my fender. Hopefully my insurance company will be smart enough to see that.

She got the citation and hopefully that and the police report will be sufficient.

The car still drives beautifully after all of this.. Hopefully that means no frame damage.. I do not want my car totaled.. I am very conservative and do not like to waste..

I am taking my car to Pulera Collision.

I am glad it happened in Illinois because here in WI you are 10% at fault for being there..

krystalmethod,

You are right.. Distractions. Maybe they should pull her phone records!! This was not even weather related. The timing makes it look like it though..

Another coworker of mine was hit by someone that ran a red light..

Thanks,
Jeff

I feel your pain sir.

My 06 LTZ was hit in a parking lot. $800 worth of damage to my sweet Antique Bronze Metallic paint and bumper. After my nervous breakdown upon the horrible discovery, I called up my boys at Progressive.

They were fantastic. They suggested a great body shop that did a killer job, and the only money due to me was my $250 deductible upon picking up my baby. I honestly cannot recommended Progressive enough.

To top it off my agent told me my rate would not increase because the damage was not my fault. [sm=groupwave.gif]

So far the progressive agent has been very friendly and I hope it stays that way...

The woman involved in the accident has court. because of her citation.
The police officer said that I can go but it is not mandatory. Probably better if I pass on that one. Let the court take care of her..

Or should I ask my agent's advice?

Glad to hear everyone is okay. That's the important part.

Also glad to see your car won't be declared totalled.

As for going to court. Unless you want to spend all day sitting in a boring courtroom waiting for her case to come up, I'd skip it. If your testimony isn't needed, don't bother.

This makes me remember when my 06 was hit. What a sad, sad day. $8500 in damage but the repair turned out great. Paint job was awesome which is good since my bumper and hood had quite a few stones thrown at it. Good luck on yours.

Check out my cardomain to see a real OUCH!!

Looks like you'll be back in business real soon.
If that support member above the front wheel was unscathed ... the damage was purely cosmetic!
