I really don't have a clue.

I bought it just the way it is.

Wouldn't be a top swap. This VIN indicates a 3.4 engine. This would definitely affect insurance in my parts as the VIN is the only technical info the insurance company requests.

But can I sue the guy for doing that? He didnt even tell me that he did a engine swap on it, or something to it, in generally.
It's buyer beware out there. Unless you got a written receipt that names everything covered, it's your car.

Don't get me wrong.

I like the car very much. Enough I'd like to do the same with one. (install a supercharged 3800 under the hood)

Got a pic of the instrument cluster? You got the '04/05 s/c dash badge, did you get a cluster with a boost gauge?

Think it's possible that the previous owner hacked a 2000 LS VIN into the car partially for insurance purposes? I know that my insurance went up significantly going from a 2001 LS to a 2004 s/c SS.

Happen to know if you got the sway bars from the SS model?

Umm, Edit your post and remove the last 5 digits of your VIN. You don't want to have somebody messing with you by taking your VIN and using it for whatever purpose.

I suspect this VIN has been through a lot already!

I wouldn't talk about this much more if this were my car. There nothing here that wouldn't benefit the owner. I wish I could claim mine were a 2000 with a 3.4, yet reap the rewards of a newer, badder car. This is awesome! But I'd play the "don't ask, don't tell" card.

Even more reason to wipe that VIN off the board

Nice, the Supercharged ss looks great in black. Looks a lot like a 2005

Yea, I do got the supercharged dash badge, and I got a boost gauge.

I'll post them later on.

About the sway bars, what are those?
