Someone may have posted this already. Just thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention. If you're wondering, it was a very fun time last year. I was there.

I'm going to be posting this up everywhere -- for those of you that can -- please post up and tell everyone you know that could attend or even those who know someone that knows someone -- We NEED to jump up attendees!!

The 5th Annual Monte's at MIS will be held at Michigan International Speedway on April 11th and 12th. There will be a dinner and road rally Friday evening and the show at the track will be on Saturday.

The show is open to all Monte Carlo's 70-08. NEW this year --- the show is being opened to all Impalas!!!!

To get a registration form, go to www.montesspace2000.20megsfree.com then to the MIS page of the web site.

With your paid registration you get:
- one qualifying run (2 and ¾ laps) around the track. (The speed limit is set by MIS officials)
- car show
- lunch
- awards

You are also able to take your car’s picture on Victory Lane!!!!

There is also an option to purchase additional laps.

NEW this year !! We may be able to have a dyno at the show this year!! But only if we can get 17 Monte's to pre pay for a dyno run we can have one at the show this year.

If you have any questions please email the show’s host (Mike) at montess@bex.net Registration begins November 1st.

I'm worried about the weather.. I wouldn't think much of it if it weren't for people on other forums talking about it. Whats mid-April weather like? I don't want to go to Michigan if its goign to be snowy.

Why so much?

Friday - meals, gas, and room.
Saturday - (lunch is free), gas, dinner, room.
Sunday - meals, gas, no room cause you checked out.

$240 - room.
$100 - meals all weekend.
Gas - up in the air due to fluctuating gas prices.

okay, 700 miles there and back, 1400 miles at 25 mpg (i figure conservativly, better to have too much than too little)

thats 56 gallons of fuel.

so figure 60 gallons at $3.50 a gallon

$210 for gas
$240 for room
$100 for food

$550 is still a lot of money for a car show.

EDIT:

$550+$75 entry fee = $625

$625 is a lot of money.. plus an extra few dollars incase I need to fix something.. or a souvenier.
