Default Monte Headlamp Problem...

Hey guys!

First post here. I've been a long time monte carlo owner. I've owned a 77 in high school, an 87LS, 88 SS & my current 2002 Monte Carlo LS with only 45 Thousand miles on it.

Moisture got into the headlamp connector and rusted away the male high-beam prong coming off the headlamp wiring harness. I have not been able to find the part anywhere and it will be sometime before I can get to a salvage yard.

I've got brand new headlamps so the female connectors are fine but untill I find either the headlamp harness (or even splicing in a new connector) I am missing my driver side hi-beam.

Does anyone know where I can get this?
It is part 8 in this diagram:

Thanks,

Rick

If you need just the connector that plugs into the bulb you can get it at Autozone:

Hi,

Thanks for reply!

No, I need the connector that connects the entire headlamp assembly to the Car Wiring.
(plugs into the back of the Headlamp Assembly)

If you're unable to get to a junk yard, maybe see if someone can go for you. A salvage yard is your best bet. Going to the dealership is paying an ungodly amount of money for nothing.

Unless you find someone parting out a wrecked Monte on the internet somewhere.

Thanks for the Junkyard Advice.

Does anyone know how I can find out the part #? The only Diagraims I can find are at a GM Parts Retailer and the part # is listed as unknown.

It's ironic, I restored a 1968 Dodge SuperBee and every part I needed I was able to locate in a matter of days. This silly wiring harness continues to elude me.

Thanks
