monte carlo 1978 or 1979???

OK, so i came across this monte carlo. The owner posted it as a 1979 monte carlo but it appears to me that it is a 1978. I am having a hard time trying to figure out which year it is. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT! HERE ARE THE PICS.

run the vin numbers.
the 78 and the 79 were vertually the same car. other then the tail lights. and some of the head lights were diffrent

but honesty chech the vin tag. if you go to googel and do a serch for a chevy vin#decoder it will pop some up then you type in the vin number and it will give you the year etc.. or at least tell you how to decode it your self.

I can not remeber the exact number in the line to find the year

Taillight differences:

'78 MC ... NON-wrap around with "slits" on the side of the car as reflectors.

'79 MC ... WRAP AROUND tailllights

Front difference:

'78 MC ... turn signal lights have MC emblem (Knight Crest/Shield) "etched" into them

'79 MC ... turn signal lights have 3 horizontal lines "etched" in them.....

LOL unless you were looking at one of my cars i would change the front head lights and T-signals out for 79 to confuse folks. the rear tail lights can be changed also.
