Default map sensor

2004 3.8 ss supercharger..I got a code about my map.. Actually 2.. p0107 and p0108. I changed my map sensor now car won't start. But it will start with the old one it just dies and runs real bad at times. It is also throwing codes for maf....p0101 and p0102 along with tp sensor... p0121, heated bank sensor... p0141 and catalyst system low efficiency..p0420 but trying to fix one thing at a time so I started with map sensor. Ideas anyone... cause I'm out of ideas. Thx

I work at a chevy dealership and I was going to look up the codes but somethings up with the website right now. But the TP, you should check the wires for your throttle body sensor to see if they seem ok and if there ok you might need a new throttle body. The other codes I'll look up tomorrow. Hope I can help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated at this point. I can't seem to find any thing on the internet about it.

So the map sensor and the maf sensor, just ignore those for now because those go off because the car is running bad. So it's not getting the right information. The reason it won't start with the new map is because each map is programed for that specific car. So since you changed it, it's totally confused now. Lol p0107 and p0108 are map sensors, p0102 is a maf sensor, p0101 is also a maf, p0121 is a throttle position sensor code.

p0141 is a heated oxygen sensor in the exaust and that might be caused by the catalytic converter clogged up or gone bad which will also cause the catalyst system low efficiency. Which will cause the p0420 code.

So in summary I would get a new throttle body, (after you checked for any bad wires) put the old map sensor back in, and check the catalytic converter to see if it's clogged up. Just hit it with a hammer and see if it sounds like anything is rattling around. (yes I know that sounds like a caveman type way of checking but that's how you see if it's clogged up or not. If you hear stuff inside rattling around then you need a new one. If it sounds clean then it might not be bad. But it's not 100%. It still might need to be changed). All of the codes would still need to be reset when you do anything. Because most of those codes except the map codes don't go away by themselves. The map and the maf codes will still be on for three ignition cycles after the problem is fixed. (three times you drive the car and shut the car off)
Hope this helps to get your girl running right again.

Question, when you put the new map sensor in, did you put a new "O" ring in with it? Did the old O ring come out with the old map sensor? If the old o ring is still in and you put the new one in with the new ring the map sensor will not set right. Causing a very bad vacuum leak. Then when you put the old one in with the old ring still in, It works. That vacuum leak, if this is the case, would also cause all your other codes.

Ya'all are talking about that orange seal on the "tit" where the vacuum hose plugs into correct? If so, then the old map sensor did not have one and the hose that is on it is way too small to even try to fit on it. Maybe I need to get a new one of those too. My ex-husband did something to it a couple years ago maybe he took it off... idk... either way that hose is way too small. Wish I could post pictures to show what it looks like. Thanks for the help guys.

No. There should be an O ring on the bottom of the Map sensor. We're it plugs into the motor. The vacuum line should be tight because it is not clamped. When I replaced mine I had to remove the old O ring with an angled scribe.
