Low Oil Level Light...
Today I was thrown a low oil level light... Ok, shut off the car, looked under it in the driveway, nothing. Pull the dipstick, More than enough oil. So I go back into the car and start it again, low and behold, no code. Could this be somethin goin wrong? or just a random code being thrown...
Hi Scott,I call it the Monte Carlo Ghost

I've had (2) Monte's 05LT & 06LT3,and I've had similar things happen onlyonce, &never happened again.. I would always PANIC : ) when it happened [&:]I would do research the problem, but couldn't find anything.Yours could be the pick up unit that monitor's the oil,Orit was one of thoseMonte `Ghost just mess'in with U : )I would suggest, be alert to any changes, & see `ifit comes on again...If it does, I would check the electrosending contact that's monitors the oil level.Maybe another Member has had this problem &a solution. If so, please respond. Good Luck Scott

were you parked on a real steep hill in either direction for any period of time? this could cause the oil in the pan to flow one way or another and thus trip the sensor when it thinks the oil is low.
