If I bought that car, I'd take the 327 off right away.

If the stripes on the roof bug you, simply peel them off. But I would leave the stripes on the hood and trunk at least.

Thanks Chris and you kind men.
I'd be terrified to ask this question in other forums, fear of being killed.

No problem Jose.

We're not born knowing everything. That's why we join forums to learn from others.

As soon as you get married, you'll be reminded how you know nothing.

Cubic inches of one cylinder = area of bore * stroke = 40.64639 in^3

Cubic inches of engine = volume of one cylinder * number of cylinders = 325.1711

That converts to 5.3285 liters

(a straight 5.3L conversion is actually 323.4, even smaller than the 327, that would be closer to a 5.4 which is 329.5 cubic inches)

Also, just for conversation's sake- the real chevy 327's with a bore of 4.000" and a stroke of 3.250" is actually 326.726 cubic inches.
That's what it is for me, it's more about the bore and stroke of the engines than the actual size of them. Never mind the differences in construction. And anyone that says a small block is a small block doesn't understand the minute yet significant differences between them that affects performance.

A Chevy 305 is really close in size to a Chevy 302, doesn't mean it'll perform anything like the 302.

That makes more sense to me because at least then you're just rounding off to 350. 325 is a more round number than 327.

x2, or at least leave out the pic of the nasty floor mat. You'd figure the nicer the car looks, the more money you'd get for it.

Don't know if I'd really call an LS4 'fuel sipping', its definitely not the kind of car you buy for getting great MPG.
dude your math is better then mine. 325 is a rounder number then 327, but 327 has more of a heritage to it. ive also seen someone run 325 badges. its not a good look.
and your right its for sure not fuel sipping, but i think that has to do with that overly deep converter in it. once you get going shes ok, but stop light to stop light its out of control.

I could understand that if the current engine had anything even remotely in common with the original 327, other than the fact that they are both made by the same manufacturer.

I guess maybe part of it for me is that no one really goes by cubic inches much anymore in passenger cars, and I think its kinda odd doing one single 'throwback' item on an otherwise completely modern vehicle.

I just think people get overly carried away with how good they think the LS4 fuel mileage is, and I definitely don't think its a major selling point. From what I've seen, I get above average fuel mileage with mine- and even still- I'm a good bit below my old GTP with the same power, and a good bit below other modern cars of a similar power level (granted its hard to compare to the new DI stuff). If someone were really worried about fuel economy, they wouldn't buy this big of a car, and they wouldn't go for the biggest engine either.
