I'm happy with the supercharged 3.8 in mine. Mostly because the traffic around here is so horrible. But also, I find myself goingover the speed limit too easily. I know if I had an 06 or 07 V8 SS, I'd be in so much trouble with speeding.
Plus we got this new law in Ontario, Canada where if you go 50 kph (roughly 35 mph) over the speed limit, you get a HUGE monetary fine and a mandatory court appearance and your car gets impounded for 7 days.
I was going to say, if you're used to driving V8's, you may want to go with the V8 Monte. Funds permitting of course.

Taz, it's nice to hear so many people are happy with the sc 3.8L's. I'm used to driving a clapped out 3.1L 96 Monte. I'm sure I'd be thrilled to have one. I'm looking at several 07's ss V8 cars in the 17 to 19 grand area with less than 20K on them. That's alot for me to take on right now. I have a plan to pay of all my bills except my house payment in 27 months. If these are still around then it would be not problem. I'm a little worried that now is the right time to take my pick of sweetheart deals. I could be wrong though, on average in 27 months they would be cheaper and have about 40k on them. What to do...
