Mine has some slight wear/cracking on the drivers side but all other seats are pristine.

It depends. Check for rust and other mechanical issues. Any thing mechanical or electircal could fail.

Always knew you were smarter than the average bear, in the immortal words of Yogi Bear! For all you youngins', that's the cartoon bear, not the old baseball great... My 2002 MonteSS is, maybe. my all-time favorite ride, and I have had tons of them.. The hypertech I used for the tune made a nice difference, but my favorite mod has been the been the exhaust change I made, 2-super 44's, a ZZP resonator and 4" tips as much 3" pipe I could put on. Even had somebody ask how I got a V-8 in 2002... Got her from my folks, they purchased new, so I have the record of everything they had to do in it's 1st 49k. Only thing major was the steering rack that had to be replaced at 30k It was diagnosed and done at Firestone, mom was 70, so was it needed? I'll never know, but some of what they did was senseless. If you didn't buy it for that price, and I knew where it was, I would have bought it!! My major issue now is the upholstery pulling away from the side airbag. Happy Trails with that beauty!
