Looking for a first gen MC

Im Looking to buy a 1st gen ( Preferably 1970 MC). Any suggestions? Tips? Warnings? Words of wisdom? Inane ramblings?

what kind of shape are you looking for? showroom, fixer upper, quarter mile car? what kind of budget do you have?

Im looking for something 10K or less... preferably less. Looking for something that i can drive and enjoy, but has room for improvement. Would probably be willing to sacrifice some of that drive-ability and enjoyment for the SS, but im open to any model.
