That is a great looking Monte you have SSTACY. Hard to believe it's a 2001.
I've seen other black Montes with the black ground effects. It was an available option as the others have said. I kinda like the red lettering.
Personally I don't see the point of having the badges body color. Makes it hard to read. The way I see it is this: If a person doesn't want the lettering to be easily readable, then take them off. Otherwise, they should be a contrasting color.
But to each their own.
If you like the red lettering on your car, I would say simply straighten them out. Or you can always remove the "Monte Carlo" badges, and leave the "SS". Just a thought.
