Default Limited Edition Pace Car Emblem

Hi all, hoping you Monte Carlo experts can help me here! I have a Limited Edition Pace Car emblem (88893470). The back says it was made in Italy. My question is what year were the Monte Carlo Pace Car emblems made in Italy?? GM has the part available (88893470) but I assume these current parts are not made in Italy.

Interesting. I know a lot of the parts were stamped "Made in Canada".... Didn't know part of these cars was Italian....

Thanks for any input! I cannot find anything about this part being made at the GM plant in Italy.

the part would be made by a supply company. I used to work for a plastics manufacturing company before doing what I am now, and we supplied the 3rd door panel for almost all the gm trucks. The a pillars for almost all of the crown victorias' as well as the angel wings. The skid plates for the malibu's and lumina's. During my time there I was able to tour the gm plant in Oshawa and all the emblems come from different companies, such as the one I worked for and are just assembled along the assembly line. They have boxes and boxes of emblems at the work stations for when the cars come along on their robotic transport devices and then the guys and gals get up from playing cards or whatever, walk over to the car and do their thing then go sit back down. The parts are set up in order of the color of car coming down the line so they don't even have to worry about that, unless one of the manufacturers didn't package their product properly. There is a good chance the emblem was made by a supplier in Italy if they offered the cheapest price to supply the product that gm wanted.
