Considering my car is only 10 years old, i'd say I did really well. I always get the comment, "I didn't know they made the 3800 with a Supercharger." (Will need to upload new engine pics to show how this girl really shines.) I kid you not I had 55, and 65+ year old men coming up to me and telling me what a nice car or engine I had or what a beautiful car I had.

Now see thats a cool story about your experience with the Monte. Seems as though you enlightened a few people and had a few moments to be proud. Additionally it was pretty stand up of you to go to a charity benefit car show, shows something about your character. Her's my award to you for your charitable selfless character.

 

I accept this award with honor and distinction.

 

The thing is most people don't know what they're looking at til' I tell 'em. And by that I mean they know their looking at a Monte, but not a rarer Monte. What makes it so rare is the fact that mine along with a couple thousand other peoples cars came from the G.M. plant with the Supercharger in them.

seeing as how i got the only yellow monte around here i get..."is that the original color...they didn't come in yellow"

 

Congrats!! There is an older guy in my shop class that went out and got a Monte the same year as mine after he saw the underside of my car and how it was built. He drives it as his DD now.
